The Charbonneau Tennis Club Story
The Charbonneau Tennis Club was established in 1976. In the early years, indoor tennis was played in a bubble. The bubble was destroyed by a windstorm on Christmas 1983 and the insurance money was used to help finance the construction of the 2 indoor courts that were completed at the current location in 1984. In 1995, the upstairs viewing area, locker rooms and rest rooms were built. The Charbonneau tennis Club is a private club directed by a 5 member board of directors. The club is a member of the USTA and is characterized as having a friendly atmosphere and being well managed and maintained.
Today you can find members of the Charbonneau Tennis Club engaged in a variety of tennis activities. Members compete in club tournaments, USTA team competition, women or men’s open social tennis, mixed doubles competition and several social events throughout the year. Court times are readily available and may be booked 7 days in advance using the web based Tennis Booking System.
