Charbonneau Arts Association presents “History of Rock” with Two Bit Brothers as part of the 2024 Music Stage at Charbonneau series of concerts.

Travel through time with great music from the 1950’s through the 1970’s.  Starting with the rockabilly and early country of the 1950’s, you’ll hear great tunes from famous artists such as the Everly Brothers, Sam Cooke, Carl Perkins and Johnny Cash.  The 1950’s were the foundational years which inspired and set the tone for the coming generation of great music. Move into the 1960’s with the British Invasion by the Beatles coupled with the emerging folk scene with music by artists like Bob Dylan, Donovan and Simon and Garfunkel.  The 1960’s created the blend of folk and rock which set the stage for the next generation of music, the emerging 1970’s rock scene in the US. The decade of the 1970’s was shaped by a blend of the sounds of Motown, blues, rock and country.  Groups such as America, Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young, Santana, The Band, Eric Clapton and Loggins and Messina filled the airways.  The 1970’s also saw another influence, the impacts of country on rock and roll.  The Eagles dominated radio with their blend of country rock and three part harmonies. Join the Two Bit Brothers on this amazing and magical musical journey.
