Due to many calls from Charbonneau residents to the USDA (United States Department of Agriculture), a wildlife officer was sent out to evaluate the coyote issue. There have been multiple pet injuries, some pet deaths, as well as some residents having close encounters. Due to safety concerns it was determined that the wildlife officer will be coming out early next week to address the coyote issue. It is advised for the short term and through next week to keep animals indoors and be aware when walking. Most encounters have been around the Red course, but reports in Louvonne and Edgewater have also been reported.

The officer will let us know when they are finished and we will evaluate if their actions were effective and communicate to the community. Please do not contact the USDA or the officer as he has been getting many calls and is aware of the issue.
