Portland Center Stage presents Astoria Part Two at The Armory in Portland. Purchase your tickets in the CCC office for this theater event happening Sunday, Feb. 21 at 7:30 pm. Tickets are just $35. Transportation is not included.

Everyone is an Artist!
Elaine Luneke will be teaching this art class. Class will explore step-by-step watercolor techniques, with plenty of demonstrations. Come join the fun!
The cost of this 6-week cours is $60 for Charbonneau residents. Checks should be made payable to Elaine Luneke.

WilsonvilleSTAGE presents: "Beyond the Dark"
WilsonvilleSTAGE is proud to present the National Premiere of a new work: Beyond the Dark written by Zoe Niklas and directed by Terry D. Dester. Beyond the Dark is based on Niklas' acclaimied book: Driving in the Dark, A Childhood Memoir. This collaborative effort was spearheaded by Niklas, developed and directed by Terry D. Kester and the new work opens at the Charbonneau Clubhouse on February 15, 16, and 17. Curtain time is 7:30 pm.
Set in the 1960's, Beyond the Dark is a memoir about Niklas' desperate struggle to escape her charismatic but abusive mother, Zodie. Trapped in her mother's horrifying world of addictions, violence and delusional fantasies and abandoned by social services, 11-year-old Niklas sets out to find a home with a famly who will give her the love and security she so desperately needs, but her mother has a different end in mind.
Zoe Niklas is an author, actress, playwright, and an acomplished inspirational speaker who often speaks about Foster care, adoption and overcoming trauma. She and Terry D. Kester, a professional producer, director, author and Artistic Director of WilsonviilleSTAGE are delighted to work together after their initial working together in, A View From the Bridge, The Cemetery Club, and the Laramie Project. Nicklas is performing this one woman show and Kester is directing. Tickets are $15 general admission or $12 for seniors, veterans and students. Purchase your tickets in the CCC office.
An American Heart CPR/AED course will be conducted by Just in Time Training on Wed., Feb. 21 from 1pm - 3pm in the Clubhouse dining room.
The cost for this certification class is $63 per person. Plese register in the CCC office by Feb. 16.

This event will happen on Friday, Feb. 23 at 5pm. Bring your own beverage of choice and enjoy a light catered supper while visiting and getting to know your Charbonneau neighbors.

On Tuesday Feb. 27 at 6pm, come to this free workshop.

Tickets for this event go on sale March 1. This is a fun and popular wintertime social event. Tickets are just $5 and includes a delicous catered supper. Only 150 reservations are available so don't delay - tickets go quickly!
CCC Board directors will be on hand to answer questions and fill us in on what is going on in our community.
AARP Smart Driver Course
An AARP Smart Driver Course will be held at Charbonneau Country Cub on Monday and Tuesday, March 26 & 27, from 1 to 4pm each day. The class is limited to the first thirty to sign up. Register for this course by calling the CCC office at 503-694-2300 or just stop by.
Those over 55 may qualify for a discount on their automobile insurance. The discount continues for three years for those under 70, two years for those over 70.
No driving or final examination is required. The class features presentations of safe driving practices and a review of traffic rules and regulations.
The course fee is $15 for AARP members and $20 for non-members. Checks should be made payable to AARP. The class will be taught by an AARP volunteer.
Easter Egg Hunt Happens Sat., March 31
We are looking forward to Charbonneau's Annual Easter Egg Hunt!
The hunt is open to children and grandchildren (ages 1-6) of Charbonnea residents.
Registration forms are available in the CCC office. Please fill out the form and return it by March 23.
Children should arrive by 9:30 am to enjoy the pre-hunt activities and have their pictures taken with the Easter Bunny (bring your cell phones/cameras).
We do the Hokey Pokey and an Easter Parade - then, the hunt begins promptly at 10:00 am.
Be sure the children are dressed warmly since this event happens outside, rain or shine, behind the Clubhouse.
Once the children find their eggs, they return their baskets to the registration table and receive a goody bag.
