Charbonneau Sharing Begins December 1st
The holiday season brings thoughts of home and family. Many of us have been blessed and look for ways we can give back to the community. Would you be willing to donate clothing or toys to Wilsonville families in need?
Charbonneau residents are very generous and especially so this time of year.
We will be working with Toy & Joy/Compassion in Action Clackamas County (CIACC) again this year. They will distribute the items we donate to many deserving Wilsonville children and families.
It is so easy to participate! Here is what you do, beginning in December:
- Bring a toy or article of clothing, unwrapped, to the Country Club during office hours
- Do this between Dec. 1 and Dec. 18
We will load the collected items and deliver them to the collection site.
If you are looking for a more personal way to give back to the community, stop by the CCC office to pick-up information onhow you can Adopt-a-Family. Simply fill out a donor application form by Dec. 6. The donor application is on the CIACC website: www.ciacc.org
This will allow you to Adopt-a-Family in the Wilsonville area. CIACC will give you a referral, you will purchase items for your sponsored family, then deliver directly to the family in time for Christmas. This type of giving can make the holiday season very special. If, for some reason, you cannot deliver to the family, you can make arrangements with CIACC to deliver to the CIACC Distribution Center in Oregon City. CIACC will make arrangements for the family to come to the center to collect their donated gifts.
Recruit neighbors, family, co-workers, and friends to help you put this together. Charbonneau is a very generous, caring community and we are looking forward to spreading some more of that Charbonneau spirit to the greater community.
