WilsonvilleSTAGE presents:  "Beyond the Dark"

WilsonvilleSTAGE is proud to present the National Premiere of a new work:  Beyond the Dark written by Zoe Niklas and directed by Terry D. Dester.  Beyond the Dark is based on Niklas' acclaimied book:  Driving in the Dark, A Childhood Memoir.  This collaborative effort was spearheaded by Niklas, developed and directed by Terry D. Kester and the new work opens at the Charbonneau Clubhouse on February 15, 16, and 17.  Curtain time is 7:30 pm.

Set in the 1960's, Beyond the Dark is a memoir about Niklas' desperate struggle to escape her charismatic but abusive mother, Zodie.  Trapped in her mother's horrifying world of addictions, violence and delusional fantasies and abandoned by social services, 11-year-old Niklas sets out to find a home with a famly who will give her the love and security she so desperately needs, but her mother has a different end in mind.

Zoe Niklas is an author, actress, playwright, and an acomplished inspirational speaker who often speaks about Foster care, adoption and overcoming trauma.  She and Terry D. Kester, a professional producer, director, author and Artistic Director of WilsonviilleSTAGE are delighted to work together after their initial working together in, A View From the Bridge, The Cemetery Club, and the Laramie Project.  Nicklas is performing this one woman show and Kester is directing.  Tickets are $15 general admission or $12 for seniors, veterans and students.  Purchase your tickets in the CCC office.
